  Cliveden View in 1984. Stanley painted in the front bedroom which was too small to accommodate the width of the canvas. He had to unwind it like a scroll to locate the section on which to work. It remained unfinished at his death, but may now be seen at the Stanley Spencer Gallery in Cookham.
